Rarity, Luxury, Necessity

Rarity, Luxury, Necessity

Rarity is the skin I wear,
Fragile coat of paper,
No tears, no tear.

Naked in body, clothed in mind,
Such an empty vessel
All cruel, no kind.

Luxury are the dreams I dare,
A future uncertain,
Too tired to care.

Betrayed by reflections, un-feathered in flight,
Visions of nowhere,
Whispered maybe and might.

Necessity is a will of stone,
To know who you are,
In skin, in bone.

Despite and despair flaunt their bitter sweet dance
As I swallow my pride,
In hope of a chance.
